Art Deco Magpie is a small independent publisher based in Worcestershire, England.
Founded in 2017 by Philip Butler, it was initially set up as an imprint to self-publish books featuring his photographic work documenting the surviving inter-war modernist architecture of Great Britain.
Following the success of the 2019 book Odeon Relics, Philip decided to expand ADM to work with other contemporary UK based photographers operating in different fields.
2020 saw the launch of a photozine series entitled Collated Observations. Each issue features the work of a different photographer, showcasing twenty-first century Britain as seen through their lens. This ran for 25 issues between May 2020 and August 2022.
ADM’s books and zines are, printed to a high quality while maintaining an affordable price tag. Many of the publications will be strict limited editions printed in small runs.
