Here is a Place by David Griffiths (Collated Observations 14)
Collated Observations is a series of regular photozines showcasing aspects of modern life through the lens of a different UK-based photographer each issue. Volume 14 features the work of Bristol-based documentary, landscape, and portrait photographer David Griffiths.
"As a collection these photographs form an attempt at mapping the physical and psychic terrain of my life by means of my own personal landmarks. It is not a precise method.
I’m drawn to the interstices of where seemingly uncontrolled nature meets the
ordered, coherent man-made world. We think of cities as being ordered spaces;
rationally constructed environments that are in opposition to an ‘uncontrolled’
natural world. But what if the city is just as disordered or chaotic as the natural
environment? What if natured is highly ordered but structured according to a
different logic? Ultimately, everything is in flux. Construction and decay, growth
and destruction, even the most temporary of phenomena can become a
permanent feature in our memories, and something in these memories can
become material objects in a photograph."

Sleeves: Regular collectors will be aware supply our zines in protective plastic foils. We've received some feedback indicating that these aren't always wanted, so to avoid adding unnecessary waste to landfill the sleeve will now be optional. The price will remain the same for both options, but please only select it if you plan to retain it. Thank you.
