Seaside Glory by Daniel Loveday (Collated Observations 10)
Daniel Loveday is an award winning British documentary photographer born and raised in the Medway Towns of south east England. His main body of work looks at the landscapes local to him and the lives that fill it.
Seaside Glory is a delicious exploration of fading coastal resorts around the UK and a snapshot of those who frequent them.
"As package holidays ebb and flow like 2p machines, baby boomers will tell you they used to be satisfied with a seaside holiday on the English coast. These antique places of neglect have a certain acquiescence that is captured in this work – reclaiming the rust and chipped paint as part of its character – indicative of the people that continue to work and visit them."
